LinkedIn Profile Optimization

Turn Your LinkedIn Profile Into a Page That Books Meetings

Most LinkedIn profile advice stops at a keyword checklist and a nicer headshot. Then your profile still reads like a CV, and the people landing on it still leave without doing anything.

I rewrite the profile as a landing page for one specific buyer, so the visitors your content earns turn into conversations instead of passive views.

The Real Job

What LinkedIn Profile Optimization Means

LinkedIn profile optimization is the work of rewriting your profile so a specific buyer reads it and takes one specific action. That covers the headline, the About section, the featured items, the experience entries, the banner and the call to action, judged on whether they move a stranger toward a conversation.

The generic version of this service is a keyword pass and a tidy-up. Someone adds your job title to your headline, rewrites your About section in the third person, and calls it done.

That version optimises for being found. It does nothing about what happens after you are found.

Your profile is the page every piece of LinkedIn content sends people to. It is the last thing a prospect reads before they decide whether to message you.

So I treat it as a landing page with one job, and I write it the way I write a sales page, because that is what it is.

How It Works

The Three Phases

Phase 1: Diagnose

I read your profile the way your buyer reads it, on a phone, in about eight seconds.

Then I go and look at who is currently winning attention in your category, what their profiles promise, and where yours is saying the same thing as everyone else.

You get the diagnosis in plain English before anything is rewritten, including the parts that are already working and should stay.

Phase 2: Rewrite

Every section gets rewritten against one buyer and one action.

The headline stops being your job title and starts being what you do for whom. The About section opens on your buyer's problem instead of your career history. The featured section becomes proof rather than decoration.

You approve the copy before it goes live. Nothing gets published to your profile without your sign-off.

Phase 3: Run

A profile that never changes goes stale, and the offer you lead with in January is rarely the one you want to lead with in June.

So the profile gets revisited as your offer moves, and the content that points at it gets planned alongside it.

This is where most engagements continue, because the profile is the destination and the content is the traffic.

The Method

The Man + Machine Method

I use AI for the volume work and my own judgment for everything that decides whether the copy lands.

The research, the buyer diagnosis, the angle and the final edit are mine. Eight years and 300+ client engagements is what tells me which of forty possible headlines is the one worth using.

The drafting, the variant generation and the quality checks run through systems I built. Every piece runs through the same validation my own content does.

That combination is why a profile rewrite takes days instead of weeks, and why it does not read like it was written by a machine.

Client Systems

The Infrastructure Behind the Content

I don't hand over a document and leave. The systems that keep the work honest run in the background.

That's:

This isn't theoretical. It's what runs my own agency.

One human and a stack of AI operate every page on this site. The tools below are the exact systems doing it.

The banner is the one people get wrong most often, so I wrote up what size a LinkedIn banner should be and where your profile photo covers it.

The Channels That Feed the Profile

A profile converts the attention your content earns, so the two get built together.

If you want the whole marketing function rather than one channel, that's the fractional CMO engagement.

Who This Works For

I've worked across 30+ sectors in eight years and 300+ engagements. The pattern isn't the industry, it's the business model: online, service-based, or digital-product companies.

A few examples with real proof behind them:

Founders and Operators

The profile that has to carry a company's credibility as well as a person's, including the medtech founder whose reach grew 148% in a month.

Consultants and Agency Owners

Profiles that need to sell a service without a product page to point at.

SaaS Teams

NordVPN, PandaDoc, Opus Clip and Gorgias are among the SaaS teams I've written for, from consumer-facing to enterprise.

Still Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What does LinkedIn profile optimization involve?
Rewriting every part of the profile a buyer reads, judged on whether it moves them toward a conversation. That's the headline, the About section, featured items, experience entries, the banner and the call to action. The keyword work matters, but it only gets you found, and being found is the easy half.
How long does it take?
The diagnosis lands in the first few days, and the rewritten profile follows within about a week, depending on how much back and forth the About section needs. The ongoing content work runs monthly after that.
Do you post to my profile for me?
Only with your sign-off on the copy. I write it and schedule it, you approve it. Nothing goes out on your name that you have not read.
Will this get me more profile views?
More views come from content, not from the profile itself. The profile decides what happens to the views you already get, which is why I look at both. One client's profile went from 139,527 to 346,001 monthly impressions in a month, and that came from the content strategy alongside the profile work.
Is this worth it if I already have a strong following?
Often more so. A large audience landing on a vague profile is a bigger loss than a small one, because the traffic already exists and something is wasting it. The medtech founder I worked with had 47,000 followers before we started.
Do you use AI to write my profile?
Yes, for the first draft and the quality checks, openly. The research, the judgment and the final edit are done by hand. Every piece runs through the same validation system used on this business before it reaches your audience.
