MarketCraft is a marketing agency for medtech and life sciences companies.

When we started, their website had one blog post and zero organic search traffic.

Not low traffic. None.

Google had almost nothing from them to show.

Nineteen weeks later, marketcraft.ai had ranked on the first page of Google for 304 different searches, from acquisition news to "medtech marketing agency" searches.

Here is how the blog got built.

MONTHLY GOOGLE SEARCH IMPRESSIONS — MARKETCRAFT.AI 0 Start 1 post, 0 traffic 1,221 May 8 posts 7,113 June 16 posts 10,627 July 18 posts 17,584 August 17 posts +1,340% May to August Source: Google Search Console, marketcraft.ai. First blog post live May 2026. Data through Sep 13, 2026.

Why a medtech marketing agency should own search

Medtech buyers search like everyone else.

They look up acquisitions, FDA clearances, go-to-market strategy, and the agencies who do this kind of work.

Most agencies in the space publish generic content, or nothing at all.

So the opening was wide.

Omar put it plainly on an early call. He wanted anyone who thought about anything in medtech to land on MarketCraft.

The blog is how you win that, one search at a time.

We built a content engine

Anyone can publish blog posts. Few of them rank.

The difference is the system underneath.

Keyword research mapped to real buyer searches

We built the content around what medtech founders and executives type into Google.

Every post targets a search with real volume and a realistic chance to rank.

The podcast archive as source material

Omar hosts The State of MedTech, 380 episodes of interviews with the biggest names in the industry.

We mine that archive for real quotes, real stories, and real angles.

So the posts read like they came from an insider, because the source material did.

A cadence that climbs

Output went from 8 posts in May to 16 in June, and it has held at 17 or 18 a month since.

The more the engine runs, the more search real estate it takes.

Search impressions grew faster than the post count, which is the signal the system is working.

What's ranking

In its first nineteen weeks, the blog reached Google's first page for 304 different searches, up from 23 at the end of its first month.

Eighty-one of those sat in the top three results.

These are a few of them:

First-page Google rankings — May to September 2026

3.0

8.5

7.3
medtech seo agencya competitive commercial search, now inside the top ten

Sixty-one different pages held a first-page spot for at least one search, up from 38 in the first fourteen weeks.

The acquisition and exit stories tend to rank fastest, often within days of going live.

And the engine hasn't slowed. Twenty-six new pages entered search for the first time in August, and fourteen of them are already averaging first-page positions.

The number we're watching next

Average position and click-through rate kept falling through August, the same pattern that started in June.

That's what happens when a growing share of the site's pages are brand new.

Every post enters low and climbs as it earns trust, and through the summer dozens of new pages were still working through that climb.

Clicks are up 102% since the blog launched, from 46 in May to 93 in August. But impressions over the same stretch went up fourteen-fold, so clicks are growing far slower than visibility is.

That's the honest read on this phase: the blog is winning visibility faster than it's winning clicks. Turning more of those 304 rankings into visits, not just adding more of them, is the next stage of the work, and it is what September is being spent on.

One more signal worth watching.

The site now gets visits from AI assistants, readers arriving from tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity citing MarketCraft.

It's small so far, fourteen sessions since launch, but it points at where medtech buyers search next.

The clearest signal, though, is what organic visitors do once they land.

They engage 41% more than the rest of the site's traffic, and stay 31% longer per visit.

Rankings get people to the page. This is proof the content is landing with the right people once they're there.

Part of a larger system

The blog is one half of the MarketCraft engagement.

On LinkedIn, the founder's profile has grown past 49,000 followers, and the system produced its best post yet in September.

The two channels feed each other, and both compound.

A note on what this requires

SEO is the compounding bet. It's also the patient one.

The first few weeks looked like nothing was happening, because from the outside, nothing was.

The pages were going live and getting indexed.

By June they were ranking.

This is what the first three months of a real content engine looks like, and it keeps building from here.

About me

I'm Frederik, a conversion copywriter and content strategist.

I build content systems that put a company's expertise in front of the people searching for it.

Most businesses have the knowledge and none of the system that turns it into search rankings. So I build the engine, the keyword strategy, the writing, and the cadence, run as one operation.

I work on a retainer basis, because SEO compounds over time. That's also why my availability is limited.
